Since I was 5 years old I have used glasses for my myopia and astigmatism, at the age of 7 I began wearing contacts. My ENTIRE life has been a continuous cycle of what I CAN'T do with my vision. At the age of 22, I took a chance and came in for a consultation. Having been rejected by surgeons my whole life, I was conditioned to believe there was nothing I could do to improve my vision. At Millennium Eye Centers, I was given not only hope but a solution. My parents and I cried at the thought that my dependence on RGP lenses had come to an end. From January 2011-March 2011, my life was transformed. First I had Verisyse lense implants in each eye for my severe myopia and then in March 2011 I had Lasik to fix my astigmatism. Until the age of 22, I had never woken up and been able to see my own hand in front of me or feel the breeze on my face without thinking about my hard lenses falling out. Millennium Eye Centers has given me a new life, a life without limitations, a life with expectations instead of heartbreak. I will never be able to express enough how wonderful the staff and surgeons are at this facility. Their kindness and love embraces you from the moment you walk in. They care about their patients, they care about your vision and most of all they care about your happiness.
