I cannot express enough how wonderful it is to be able to SEE! The morning after surgery I was running around my house screaming "I can see, I can see! The trees have leaves". This may seem strange, but even with my glasses, I never really saw the leaves. It was not about how I looked with glasses, as I always considered them a fashion accessory, but for the first time since I started wearing glasses, when I was eight, I could really see things at a distance. It is a whole new, sharp world. To be able to roll out of bed and not put on glasses...wow! I keep reaching for them, then smile and think "don't need them". My husband gave me Lasik for Christmas and it is THE BEST GIFT I have ever gotten!
